  The Beach is a short film project that I’m a part of, along with Dan Bakst, Dan Nguyen, Joyce Yong, and some other really talented people. We’ve all worked together before, however this project is bigger than anything any of us have tried to undertake in the past, and so we need a bit of help. Money donated will be used to help us shoot in Michigan and New York City, hire paid actors, and rent the equipment we don’t have, among other things.

  Saturday, we took a trip over to Edward Medard Park in Plant City for Allison Weiss’ music video shoot. Despite pouring rain in Tampa, Plant City was a cool 95°. Many familiar faces were sweating it out in the sun: Dan Bakst and Cameron Thacker filling in on drums and bass, Sarah Wilson Thacker directing, Sean Brown doing what Sean Brown does best (lookin’ cute). This shoot also benefited greatly from Dan and Joyce’s monstrosity of a zoom lens (70-200 f/2.8L); Making the XT look like some kind of bad Sci-Fi Channel monster. I need a Canon pro model… bad.

  I haven’t posted anything of my own in a while, and it’s because I’ve been working a godawful amount of hours at 2 jobs + taking classes. I don’t think I’ve even put a viewfinder up to my eye in over a week, and that last time was for work (although I did snap a few pics of this precious little thang after I got home one day). If anyone sees me, feel free to contribute to my coffee fund. -_-

  Adam was awesome enough to help me with the shoot that day, so we set off early to scout out the place, mainly looking for good frames for making portraits. Adam was also awesome enough to model the frames for me :)

  Our friends Sarah Wilson and Cameron Thacker got married last night. The wedding was beautiful and I wish them the best on their new life together and move out to California. I only took a few detail shots of the setting. Sometimes it’s best to just put the camera down and enjoy the moment. Plus, there were like 9 other DSLRs and I felt kinda intimidated. :/
